About Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity

Helping Rockford families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Our Homeownership program offers local families the opportunity to purchase a safe, decent, and affordable home. We partner with individuals and families who are ready to build a more stable future but are unable to qualify for a traditional mortgage. Our program provides a path to long-term housing security through education, support, and an affordable mortgage. Our Critical Home Repair Program provides essential repairs that restore safety, accessibility, and livability for low-income homeowners. Our goal is to help residents remain in their homes with dignity by addressing issues that threaten health, safety, or long-term stability.
