Established in 1972, the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) serves as the central bank for six member countries of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC): Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo. Headquartered in Yaoundé, Cameroon, BEAC is responsible for implementing monetary policy, issuing currency, and overseeing financial stability within the region.
